Mom Returned Home From Work, Was Shocked When She Finds House Empty & 5-months-old Son On The Floor
Abby returned home from work, eager to be reunited with her five-month-old son, Connor. She had spent the entire day worrying about him, as she had to work in the office instead of from home, and her husband, Patrick, was supposed to be taking care of him. But as she entered her house, she was met with an eerie silence.
"Where are you? You were supposed to be home earlier than 6, remember?" she called out, her voice trying to remain calm, but her anxiety was quickly turning to anger. She had expected to find her husband and 13-year-old son, Theo, at home, but the living room and kitchen were empty.
Abby quickly dropped her bag and keys on the table in the foyer and called out again, "Patrick? Theo?" But there was no response. She walked to the bedroom, but it too was empty. Her mind raced with possibilities as she tried to figure out where her family could be. Had they gone out for a fun outing without her? Was something wrong?
She decided to call her husband to see if he could provide some answers, but her calls went straight to voicemail. She tried calling Theo as well, but he didn't pick up either. Her anxiety was growing, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was not right.
Suddenly, she heard a noise coming from the nursery room. She quickly walked towards the room and opened the door to find her baby, Connor, lying on the floor. He was alone and crying, and Abby's heart broke as she realized that her worst fear had come true.
She picked up her son and held him close, tears streaming down her face as she whispered apologies and promises to never leave him alone again. She was filled with anger towards her husband and son for leaving her baby alone, and for not being there when she needed them.
Abby knew that she would never be able to trust them again and that her life would never be the same without her family. She would have to figure out how to move forward, but for now, all she could do was hold her baby tight and promise to never leave him alone again.
Abby's story is a reminder of the importance of trust and communication in a family. It's crucial that we are always aware of what is happening in our loved one's lives and that we are there for them when they need us the most. It's also a reminder that we should never take our family for granted and should always be grateful for the time we have with them.
Realizing she had left her phone in her bag, Abby exited the bedroom only to notice something out of the corner of her eye. "Connor!" she exclaimed as her heart started beating a mile a minute. Her baby was sleeping on the floor in the middle of the nursery, and Abby had no idea how or why.
"Connor, sweetie," she continued breathlessly, picking him up and assessing the situation. Her five-month-old stirred gently, but he went back to sleep in her arms, unaware that Abby felt like she was dying inside.
Abby's mind raced with a million thoughts and questions. Her baby was alone at home and on the floor. Anything could have happened to him. But then, another thought entered her mind. Where were Patrick and Theo? They were both supposed to be there. Her husband most certainly should've been there, but instead, he was out with his friends.
She placed Connor back in his crib, touched her hand to her chest to calm down, and went to her purse to call her husband. She expected it to ring many times with no answer, and her anxiety started thinking of dangerous scenarios.
However, Patrick answered on the second ring. "Honey! Hello!" he said, his voice happy and obviously unaware of the situation. Abby could hear music and conversation in the background.
"Where are you? You were supposed to be home earlier than 6, remember?" she asked, her voice trying to keep calm, but her anxiety had led to anger.
"Oh, that's right! I'm so sorry, sweetie. I forgot. The guys asked me to come for drinks," he explained as if it was perfectly normal. "I'm on my way."
"Excuse me? You went to the bar with your friends? Where is Theo?"
"What do you mean?" he wondered, confused.
"THEO ISN'T HERE!" Abby screamed into the phone, finally losing her temper. "AND CONNOR WAS ON THE FLOOR, SLEEPING. I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG HE WAS THERE! AND OUR OTHER SON IS GONE!"
"Abby, calm down. Calm down. I'll rush home. I didn't drink anything. Is Connor alright?" he inquired, his voice still relaxed.
"Connor is fine! But something could've happened, and I have no idea where Theo is, and again, CONNOR WAS ON THE FLOOR!" She tried to calm down but failed miserably as angry tears escaped her eyes.
"Call Theo. He probably went out with his friends," Patrick suggested. "I'll be there soon."
Abby couldn't believe the lack of responsibility and care her husband and son had shown. She was furious that they would leave a five-month-old baby alone at home, and that they would go out for drinks and not even think to check on him. She couldn't shake the feeling that something could have happened to her baby, and the thought of losing him was unbearable.
As she waited for her husband to come home, she called Theo multiple times, but he didn't answer. She was filled with worry and fear for her missing son, and she couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
When Patrick finally arrived home, Abby was beyond angry. She couldn't believe that he would put their baby in danger and that he would be so careless and irresponsible. She couldn't understand how he could be so relaxed and unconcerned about the situation.
As for Theo, Abby couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. She couldn't understand why he would leave his baby brother alone and go out without telling anyone. She feared for his safety and worried that something bad had happened to him.
When Patrick finally arrived home, Abby was beyond angry. She couldn't believe that he would put their baby in danger and that he would be so careless and irresponsible. She couldn't understand how he could be so relaxed and unconcerned about the situation. She was also hurt and disappointed that he would prioritize a night out with his friends over the safety and well-being of his family.
As the night went on, Abby's anger and anxiety only grew. She couldn't stop thinking about her baby on the floor and her missing son. She couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong and that she had failed as a mother.
The next day, Theo returned home safe and sound, but Abby's anger and disappointment in her husband and son did not dissipate. She couldn't understand how they could be so careless and irresponsible. She knew that things would never be the same between them and that the trust she had in her family was forever broken.
Abby's story is a reminder of the importance of responsibility and care when it comes to our families. It's crucial that we always prioritize their safety and well-being, and that we are always there for them when they need us the most. It's also a reminder that actions have consequences and that we should always think twice before making decisions that could harm our loved ones.
