The "Miracle Baby," Luz Milagros, what at first seemed like a tragic story, ended up shocking the world. When Analya Bouquet and her husband Fabian Vernon visited the morgue to mourn the death of their newborn daughter, they couldn't believe what they found there. The couple had learned that their daughter, Luz Milagros, had been stillborn, born three months prematurely on the morning of April 3rd, 2012, weighing just 780 grams. Despite the news of the tragic death, the couple went to the morgue to give Luz Milagros a first and last goodbye. But, on arrival, they were met with an unbelievable surprise. In the coffin, their little girl was alive and trembling. The couple couldn't believe what they saw, but Analya didn't feel the need to question it at the time. God had given her back her baby and her family, and she burst into tears and laughed in disbelief.
Analya had insisted on taking her sister's mobile phone into the refrigerated chamber to take a photo for the funeral and for her own memories. After a struggle, her husband opened the lid with a crowbar. The morgue worker picked up the girl and ran to the hospital, screaming at the doctors and pleading for someone to help. However, the baby had died just a few short months after celebrating her first birthday due to multi-organ failure and disseminated intravascular coagulation.
The family opened up an inquiry into the neglect shown by the hospital staff and sued them for malpractice, causing five medical staff to be suspended pending further investigation. Analya was angry that she was not able to see her baby before she was put in the coffin and taken away to the morgue. According to Analya, she was given the death certificate no more than 20 minutes after the birth and was incredibly confused as to why she was not given a general anesthetic this time. The entire delivery process was unprofessional, and Analya was given no opportunity to cuddle her baby.
Tragically, little Luz Milagros has now passed away, She died in the Hospital Provincial in Rosario, Argentina, just a few short months after celebrating her first birthday. According to Leonardo Caruana, the Rosario hospital's secretary of health, Luz died of multi-organ failure and disseminated intravascular coagulation, which then led to shock. After being first found, Luz spent 10 weeks in a hospital in Buenos Aires. Understandably, the family chose to have their baby treated elsewhere from where she was born. Throughout her initial 10-week recovery, Luz stayed in a specialist unit in a residencia, before being allowed to go home. However, doctors warned the Briguette family that Luz would need constant medical attention due to her fragility.
For several months, baby Lucy Milagros was okay, but things took a turn for the worse after she passed her first birthday. Analia rushed her into the hospital after she suffered a medical complication, and unfortunately suffered from cardiac arrest. Tragically, she was unable to be revived. Prior to Luz's death, Analia and her family had been tirelessly trying to raise funds so they could take the baby to China for stem cell treatment. However, the trip was never approved by doctors, as they feared her health was too delicate. This decision ultimately led to her death.
According to the family, in the month leading up to her death, Luz weighed a healthy 13 pounds and was breathing predominantly on her own. However, she did show signs of slow brain development, which was a serious concern from the start. As heartbreaking as this story is, Edward Bell, a University of Iowa specialist in premature infants, addressed the unlikelihood of survival for a baby born at just 26 weeks old. Even in the most well-developed parts of the world, it's difficult for doctors to do anything to heighten the baby's chances of survival.
Miracle baby Noah Clary, however, is an example of a premature baby beating all odds against his survival. His parents, Helen and Neil Clary, could not have predicted the circumstances around Noah's birth, so when he was born approximately 14 weeks before his due date, they were terrified and expecting the worst. Before his birth, Helen and Neil had already been warned that Noah was on his way, and that his chances of survival were slim. Expecting the worst, they settled down for what they predicted to be the worst events of their lives.
Soon after, Noah was born, and much to everyone's surprise, he was not stillborn. However, his mere survival of the delivery did not mean they were out of danger. The doctors had to act fast, as baby Noah was so small he weighed just two pounds two ounces. The doctors were so fearful of his survival, they ended up having to put him in a sandwich bag to keep his body warm enough. After this, he was rushed into the special care unit, where doctors worked tirelessly to keep him alive.
Meanwhile, new parents Helen and Neal sat in desperation as they waited and expected to hear frightful news. Helen recounts, "We didn't know if he was going to survive. It was about five hours before we even got to see him." Miraculously, though, he made it through that first day, and Helen and Neal were finally able to meet him. But soon after, they were given more terrible news. Further medical tests had discovered that baby Noah's heart was wide open and just the size of a thumbnail. It needed to be quickly closed if he had any chance of survival, so he was quickly sent off for heart surgery. Helen says, "Those 30 minutes he was in surgery for were the longest 30

Those 30 minutes he was in surgery for were the longest 30 minutes of her or Neil's lives. His chances of survival were so bleak, there seemed no way he'd overcome this, as well as the delivery in that first day. But somehow he did, albeit very weak, Noah was alive and slowly started to show signs of recovery. Eventually, he began to gain weight, and after six long months on a ventilator, he was able to breathe on his own under the watchful eye of a cardiologist. Of course, after his long and rocky recovery, baby Noah was finally able to be taken home from the hospital. He's now a happy and healthy little boy that shows no signs of health problems.
While Morgana's story is beyond tragic, it's uncommon for healthcare professionals to let down patients like this. Noah is just one of countless examples that show how hard and tirelessly hospital staff work each day to save people's lives.
In the dead of night, a 9-1-1 dispatcher received a call from a little boy who sounded weak. "Hello, can somebody help me? I haven't had a proper meal in three days and I'm getting dizzy." The boy spoke weakly. The dispatcher immediately notified the police to be on standby and requested details on the boy's whereabouts. He described his neighborhood and revealed that he found a couple of pennies lying around the trailer he lived in, which he used to call on the pay phone. "Please come help me, I don't know how much time I have left," the boy said. "Help is on the way, sweetheart. Go back to your trailer and stay there until the cops arrive, okay?" The day dispatcher replied before hanging up the phone.
In just a couple of minutes, an officer named Jason Parker was sent to the scene. "This better not be one of those prank calls again," he said to himself as he drove towards the trailer. He immediately knocked on the trailer door and introduced himself. "Officer Parker here, responding to a 9-1-1 call. Anyone home?" Nobody answered the door, but he could hear a faint voice coming from within. He entered and saw a frail little boy clutching his stomach as he lay on the ground. "Help me," the boy whispered.
As Officer Parker took another step inside, he realized that the boy was not alone. On a small worn-out mattress, a woman was asleep. "Ma'am," he called out trying to wake her up. She didn't respond. Officer Parker decided to check her pulse. It was weak and slow. "What's your name, young boy?" he asked. "My name is Adam. My mom's name is Lisa," the boy replied quietly. "How long have you and your mother been here? What happened?" the officer asked. "Mommy lost her job at the factory four days ago. Since she doesn't have work, we haven't been able to eat the past three days," the boy said, in tears. "My mama's weak and doesn't want to wake up. We need to help her."
At this point, Officer Parker knew he had to act quickly. He called for medical backup so they could take Lisa to the hospital. When the ambulance arrived, they carried Lisa on a stretcher, while Adam rode with Officer Parker in his patrol car. "Your mom will be all right, Adam. Don't worry about it," he assured the worried child. Doctors diagnosed Lisa as malnourished, believing that she hadn't eaten properly even before she lost her job. They suggested she remain in the hospital until she regained her strength and made a full recovery.

"What's gonna happen to me while Mommy's in the hospital?" Adam asked suddenly, scared after hearing that his mother would have to stay there for a while. "There are social workers here who can take you to a foster family for the time being. When your mom's recovered, you'll be able to see her again," Officer Parker explained.
At that point, Adam began to cry. "A foster family? I don't want to be sent there. Please, Officer Parker, do something!" He saw Officer Parker was a bachelor and realized that he was capable of taking care of the child for the weeks that his mother would be in the hospital.
He asked the social workers if it was possible and they said it was. They began preparing the paperwork. While waiting for the paperwork, Officer Parker decided to take Adam somewhere so he could eat. "You must be very hungry. How about a good meal at a restaurant?" he asked the young boy.
"Thank you, Officer Parker," Adam said, clinging to the officer's arm as if they'd known each other for years. The gesture melted Officer Parker's heart and made him wonder why he hasn't settled down and started his own family.
Adam and Officer Parker enjoyed a nice balanced meal of protein, carbs, and vegetables, so that Adam could slowly regain his strength and energy. By the time they finished their meal, the young boy was feeling a lot better and was able to talk a lot more. He shared that it had always just been him and his mom living in their trailer after his father abandoned them when he was a baby. While his mom worked at the factory, he often walked to and from school and waited for his mom to come home.
Unfortunately, a budget cut caused his mother to lose her job and they had no spare money to buy even the most simple food items. "I'm happy you came to get us, Officer Parker. I was so hungry and I was scared my mommy would die," the boy explained.
Officer Parker was heartbroken to hear about Adam's story and he made a promise to himself that he would help Adam and Lisa as much as he could. When they got back to the hospital, it was revealed that he was approved as Adam's foster father and he could take him home that night.
Adam said goodbye to his mom and promised he'd be back the following day. Officer Parker prepared the spare bedroom in his apartment for Adam to sleep in and told him to sleep as long as he wanted. It was already late.
The following morning, Officer Parker prepared food for Adam and his mom, Lisa. He always enjoyed cooking and he was glad to have people to share his dishes with now. Adam woke up a little before lunchtime and was delighted to see that there was food on the table. "Thank you, Officer Parker," he said in delight. "You don't need to call me Officer Parker. Just call me Jason," he said with a smile as he put some food on Adam's plate.
After Adam finished eating, they headed to the hospital where Lisa was already conscious. "Mom!" Adam exclaimed, running to hug his mom who was in her hospital bed. "Hey, sweetie," Lisa said, stroking Adam's head as he leaned on her stomach. "I'm so happy to see you."
"Mom, this is Officer Parker. He took care of me after he found us at home. He made you some food too," Adam said excitedly. Lisa glanced at Officer Parker and smiled. "Thank you so much for your kindness, Jason," she said. "You're welcome. It's no
"You're welcome. It's no problem. You have a sweet boy. Don't worry about him. I'll take care of him. Just focus on getting well," Jason told Lisa, who nodded appreciatively. Every day, Jason would care for Adam. He cooked in meals, took him to school in his patrol car, and accompanied him to the hospital when Adam's school and his police work were done for the day.
After a couple of weeks, Lisa made a full recovery and was cleared to go home. Adam was saddened that he would no longer be seeing Jason every day, but Jason promised he'd visit. Every time he visited Adam, he got to know Lisa a little more, and the more they talked to each other, the more they started to feel a connection. Eventually, they admitted their feelings for each other. Jason and Lisa ended up falling in love and they got married in a simple civil ceremony with Adam as their witness.
Adam was delighted to have Jason as his father and eventually their family grew when they welcomed a baby girl nine months later. "I can't believe a response to a 9-1-1 call would lead me to find a family," Jason told his new wife Lisa one day. "I can't believe I'm fortunate enough to have someone as kind, caring, and generous as you as my partner for life," Lisa said, leaning on Jason's shoulder. "No matter how bad life gets, always remember that people will be ready to help you. I'll always be here for you and Adam," Jason said.
